Bonbon

Laurence Jenkell is known in France as an artist of exquisite taste and sensitivity. She attended evening courses to familiarize herself with various painting techniques (charcoal, watercolor, acrylic, oil, and ceramics). Creative flair and creative thinking led her to study aluminum, copper, and marble. After thorough research, candies became her passion. For many years, the sculptor creates works in the form of sweets. Sweets were a forbidden delicacy during childhood, according to Laurence Jenkell. So now she does not restrain herself.
Those were these unusual sculptures that brought her worldwide recognition. Most of her sculptures are candies wrapped in easily recognizable symbols, including iconic corporate logos and state symbols. Flags of different countries are located on candie wrappers. They are especially bright in the sun. Sculptures in the form of sweets are the only form of art in which all senses are involved: vision, hearing, smell and taste. Confectionery products combine common human values and personal memories.
Exhibitions of her works have repeatedly been held in France, Switzerland, Belgium, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and other countries.
