Mariya Kolosovskaya is Russian artist and ceramist.
Education: she graduated from Moscow Institute of Architecture as a general architect; she was trained to work with clay in Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Design and Applied Arts and mastered «raku-yaki» technique in in Tuscany, Italy.
Artist creates ceramic objects working with open fire: ceramics are fired in pine cones, sawdust of trees of various breeds with the addition of salts, alcohols or metals. About a month is need for making every ceramic object in «raku-yaki» technique. But this complicated and dangerous technique gives the finished product a unique form.
