About the Artist

Olga and Oleg Tatarintsev are a Moscow duo of middle-generation artists, known for their multimedia projects, including painting, graphics, objects, video and audio works. Olga and Oleg Tatarintsev work both in a duet and as independent authors: the paintings are the exclusive authorship of Olga. In their work, artists often turn to themes of philosophy, ethics, history, and discuss socio-political issues. The artists' works, whether large-scale installations or intimate objects, are distinguished by clarity of form, use of pure color and impeccable technical execution.

Olga Tatarintseva was born in 1967 in the village of Staraya Ushitsa, Ukraine. From 1977 to 1981 she studied at the art school of the city of Kamenets-Podolsky, Ukraine, after which she studied at the Kosovo Art School. V. I. Kasiyana from 1981 to 1986. From 1987 to 1992 she studied at the Lviv State Academy of Arts. In 1998, Olga Tatarintseva became a member of the International Federation of Artists, and in 2001 - a member of the Moscow Union of Artists. a key artist of her generation. Works in the context of history and philosophy, addressing topics of politics, ethics and social theory. Interest in issues of material and form inherits the traditions of the first wave of Russian avant-garde in synthesis with Western minimalism. Works in a duet with Oleg Tatarintsev. The artists are known for large multimedia projects.

Oleg Tatarintsev was born in 1966 in Baku, Azerbaijan. From 1977 to 1981 he studied at an art studio. From 1981 to 1985 he studied at the Baku Art School, after which he studied at the Lviv State Academy of Arts from 1985 to 1992. Since 1993 he has been a teacher at the Moscow State University of Arts and Industry named after. S. G. Stroganova. In 1997, he became a member of the Moscow Union of Artists, and since 2004, he has been an associate professor at the Department of Artistic Ceramics at the Moscow State University of Arts and Industry.
