Evgeny Shadko is a young Belarusian artist who lives and works in Minsk.
Shadko received his professional education at the Minsk Glebov Art College and at the Copernicus University in Torun (Poland), but at the beginning of his career, he embarked on the path of searching for his artistic language.
About the process of his work, the artist says: "For me, modern painting is a balance of lightness, depth and compassion. I often scroll through the feed, find what I'm interested in, take a screenshot. I can make a sketch of the figure I like, the plot, then finalize it and leave it in my head. I use Photoshop to search for compositions or color solutions, I leave it for a while, after a week I add something else. I'm waiting for the picture to coalesce and result in a work that I want to write. In the process, everything can change many times. To wean myself from the fear of spoiling, I like to start one work on three or four canvases at once. This is my search box".
