“Using a multidisciplinary approach in my working process, I employ a wide range of techniques and materials: stencil hand-bleaching, stamping, cyanotype, oil painting, watercolour, embroidery, pyrography, weaving, patchwork, collage e.t.
Through the use of primitivism, natural materials, patterns and animistic imagery, I return to the apparent simplicity and integrity of primitive cultures and ethnicities with a harmony of synthesis in all areas of society: everyday life, culture, art and metaphysics. This contrasts strongly with the life of the individual in modern society with its increasing stress, prevailing technocracy, ecological and industrial crisis, tendency to complicate meanings and constant tension. I strive for uniqueness as opposed to reproducibility, slow and progressive development, harmony with the world around me.
I create work resonating with the principle of "Artist as Shaman", using my perception of the world through a synthesis of esotericism, animism and pop culture. I see the role of the artist as a shaman in the contemporary world as a certain vision and position of existence between the real (physical) and metaphysical world. The artist-shaman makes the invisible visible, transforms the visible and enters other dimensions.”
