Olga Vladimirovna Tobreluts (1970, Leningrad) — Russian artist, painter, pioneer of video art in Russia.
In 1989 she graduated from the Leningrad Architectural and Industrial College, Department of Architecture, after which she studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
In her works, Olga synthesizes images of classical art with elements of pop culture. Using cutting-edge technologies, the artist brings the samples of antiquity into a completely new context. The works presented at the stand belong to the new abstract series. Tobreluts creates his own fantasy worlds on a computer with its own specific light and textures, and then transfers them to canvas using the classical technique of oil painting.
Works in the collections of the Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Ludwig Museum, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the New York MOMA and galleries in Milan, Brussels, Verona, etc.
