Tati Solodovnikova is a ceramic artist from Izhevsk, Russia. She graduated from Udmurt State University with a degree in Cultural Studies.
Ancient vessels served as inspiration for her work. Relying on historical, biographical and natural sources, the artist strives to create her own story. Each vessel is a new portrait, an attempt to embody an impression and inner world in form. The artist's skill lies in working with volume, finding balance in the asymmetry of vases. The texture of the works often retains fingerprints as the presence of the author and, at the same time, creates a heterogeneous surface and movement.
Many of Tati's works have expressive modern painting with cobalt or other materials.
Tati Solodovnikova's objects, combining tradition and the sensual world of the artist, seem modern and have their own character.
