Max Ingrand is a renowned French glassmaker and designer. Studied arts and crafts at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
Author of a huge number of stained glass windows for Notre Dame and other cathedrals, as well as for hotels and public buildings, for which he was awarded the Order of the Legion of Honor. Since 1954, Ingrand was the art director of Fontana Arte for 10 years. During this time, he created the Fontana table lamp, which has become a world design classic and remains in demand today.

Studied at the Ecole Nationale Superiore des Beaux Arts, then at the E.N.S.A.D. - École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs. Among the teachers is the famous French stained glass painter Jacques Gruber.
In 1954 he created the legendary Fonatana 1853/1 table lamp in white opal glass, which is on display in the permanent collection of the Triennale di Milano Design Museum.
