Contemporary art gallery from St. Petersburg was opened in 2011.
The choice of the gallery's name is conditioned by the interest to the human being, to the problems of his existence, development and activity in the modern world.
The first exhibitions in NAMEGALLERY were devoted to the classics of contemporary St. Petersburg art, but the gallery did not limit its circle only to these artists. The orientation in the work of the gallery was the identification of new names and promotion of young promising authors, collaboration with various institutions, cooperation with major museums, foundations and exhibition spaces.
It was in NAMEGALLERY that the first solo exhibitions of the group “North-7”, from which the artists Leonid Tskhe, Alexander Tsikarishvili, Pyotr Dyakov, Anna Andrzhievskaya “grew up”, took place, as well as the first solo exhibitions of artists Asya Marakulina, Masha Sha, Matiush First.
NAMEGALLERY is a place where new names are discovered, where they give an opportunity for experiments and support the creative growth of established artists. The gallery focuses on painting and graphics at a high academic level, as well as three-dimensional installations, performances and media art.
The exhibition space of NAMEGALLERY allows exhibiting large-scale works, volumetric installations, performances and media art.
