The Miras Gallery was founded in 1994 in Ufa, Bashkortostan, together with the artists of the Genghis Khan group, one of the first private galleries in the city. "Miras" in translation from the Turkic languages means "heritage".
The gallery's artists represent a rich cultural cross-section of several generations, among whom are both young contemporary and recognized masters. The gallery's mission is to form a local art market and organize a space for a wide audience to meet our artists, most of whom live and work in Ufa. The gallery is actively involved in exhibition activities, accompanying its projects with a parallel program, which includes lectures, art dinners, excursions and mediations, etc.
Since 1996, the gallery has been taking part in contemporary art fairs. Over the past year, the gallery has taken part in such fairs as Kontur, Blazar, Cosmoscow, Scan Fair, Atrium, and also joined the Association of Galleries of Russia, participated in the AuktiON auction. This year the gallery is taking part in the Biennial of Private Collections.
One of the largest projects of the gallery in Ufa is the international symposium on stone sculpture in 2016, as a result of which the alley of contemporary sculpture ARTTERRIA appeared in the city center.
