Untitled 3
"Rooms" is the first work that Alexandra has made using the lithography technique. Her recognizable creative method of mastering space (on a scale ranging from chamber to cosmic) in time, without any temporal coordinates, is now entering a new stage. The project is the result of months of research into the specifics and possibilities of the technique, as well as exploring the full range of techniques in this technology.
As the title of the series implies, the rooms depicted are more a visualization of a certain mental state, uncertainty or excitement more than a physical architectural object. They are frozen in time, stripped of any decorative markers, and become a basic generalization. Most importantly, these rooms do not belong to a specific apartment or house or palace, they are not even from the same building. They are pure spaces without time.
