Reflection 2
The works from the «Observer» series represent a connection between two significant "mediums" for Anastasia: architecture and painting. The shadows of plants collected in an urban environment are woven into compositions with silhouettes, creating an interaction between everyday life and art. The viewer, in the process of searching for these outlines, becomes as integral a part of the work of art as the author himself, a sense of belonging arises.
The works touch on the themes of introspection and contemplation, inviting viewers to reflect on their role in the world. In her works, Anastasia tries to create a balance between engagement and detachment, so that the beauty that can be found in simple observation around us is highlighted and visible. In such an interaction, the viewer can reflect on his place in the broader context of existence.
A series of works by Anastasia Malinovskaya “The Observer” is being developed specifically for the Cosmoscow 2024 fair.
Anastasia explores various media and develops her own cultural code: symbols that reflect the uniqueness of the individual within themselves, in the present time. The main figurative elements in the artist's works are hands, and the meaning is encapsulated in gestures—they serve as a universal tool for conveying information, feelings, and emotions. Anastasia studies the boundaries of self-expression, facilitating a dialogue that reveals the diversity and beauty of existence in all its forms.
