The abstract sculpture has smooth curves and a mirrored surface. Its original form is handmade and it was created from clay, and then cast in metal. Clay, being the ancestral element, refers to the origins of matter and creation. The moment of transition from tactile clay to a solid form imprinted in metal.
Vera Odyn, the founder of Form Bureau, also works as an independent artist and product designer. Her works have been exhibited at the largest art fairs in Latin America such as SP-Arte and Russian galleries. Vera’s work principles are based on the sensory perception of nature and the combination of different cultural contexts, particularly Russia and Brazil. Vera’s approach to creating collectible design items is focused on achieving
harmony through the plasticity of forms. She works with materials that are inherently opposite, such as soft plastic clay that transforms into the cold forms of metal. Her unique objects embody not only the sacredness of nature, but also the aesthetics of functionalism, achieved through an abstract artistic method.
