Born in 1963 in the city of Severodonetsk. Kopachev’s works over the years look like leisurely conversations about art and people in art. Each picture can be perceived as part of a dialogue with pauses and reflections. Fragments of artifacts seen long ago appear through the cultural layers of memory; they are like imaginary conversations with ancient masters, trying to find support for themselves in an unpredictable world in ornaments and geometry. Today Kopachev offers his own answers, preserving, thanks to the fragmentation of the form, breaks in time that form a complex geometry.
