To achieve expressiveness of color and shapes on a plane, he experiments with various techniques. The compositionally designed formal color spots of his canvases convey, first of all, the found emotional harmony.
A graduate of the Latvian Academy of Arts, Ramin Nafikov lives between Kazan and Riga. Nafikov works on his canvases for a long time, spending months achieving the effect of absolute freedom and spontaneity. Nafikov was formed as an artist in two cultures and is engaged in a synthesis of understandable techniques of linear clarity, design restraint, characteristic of the Baltic schools and oriental ornamentation. But this is not just a meeting of styles and not an exotic collage. Nafikov shows images on the verge of birth, which he deliberately leaves undeveloped in order to keep the world of his canvases “immaterial and huge”
