Born on Easter Sunday April 25, 1954 in Moscow on Neglinnaya Street. Studied at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute from 1971 to 1976. Became a member of the Moscow Union of Artists in 1979. In 2004 was awarded the art prize "Master". Organized 50 solo exhibitions in London, Milan, Moscow, Nairobi, Paris, Saint Petersburg, Stockholm, Tokyo, Helsinki, including at the A. S. Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (2022), the State Tretyakov Gallery (2016) and the State Russian Museum (2003). Works are held in 30 Russian and European museums, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, the A. S. Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Russian Museum, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art (Helsinki), and the Mediterranean Museum (Gibellina, Sicily).
