About the Artist

Lazy Wolly is a 35-centimeter cushion character. The primary materials are plastic, cast plastic, metal, and acrylic. Each element is a cushion or a soft covering in the form of body parts. The sculpture was showcased at the Solo Show exhibition at Icon Siam in Bangkok in 2023, as well as at the Frédérick Mouraux Gallery in Antwerp in 2024. In the Yoomoota Art Universe, Lazy Wolly is portrayed as an inhabitant of the planet of sins and a general of the lazy kingdom. He was created from old pillows gathered from under the heads of lazy fathers. People become lazy when they are well-fed or when they know they are not in danger. However, when complacency starts flowing through their veins, laziness becomes a vice. In these moments, people want to get up but cannot overcome the pillow under their head—it’s not that they are pressing down on it, but that it is pressing down on them. This is General Lazy Wolly of the lazy kingdom. For some, he is merely a relief after a long workday or an exhausting workout, but for others, he is the worst nightmare.
