Continuing the theme of the puppet story "Teatro Solo Amor", four girls' faces are presented, looking at the viewer like ladies drawn from a deck of cards.
Alexander Sobolev is a painter and video maker, graphic artist, writer and director, he is looking for a variety of artistic ways of expression, participating in bold projects. He does not associate his work with any particular direction. Like many artists who received academic education, and for Alexander it was BGII named after Z. Ismagilov, Sobolev goes beyond realism, delving into figurative art. Many of his projects were first seen in the "residence" of the Genghis Khan group known in Russia and abroad - the Museum of Contemporary Art of Ufa Nail Latfullin, as well as in the Miras Gallery, with which the author has been collaborating for more than one year.
A striking event in Alexander's creative biography was the art expedition of the Aimak-arba traveling gallery in the cities of the Urals, Siberia and the Far East (2010), which contributed to the popularization of his work and contemporary art in Ufa as a whole. The artist fundamentally does not decipher hidden meanings, giving the viewer the opportunity for polemics, his own reading of paintings. Alexander believes that the mission of a real artist is educational. This is the education of a sense of artistic taste and awareness of understanding the life path. Alexander's pictorial language is characterized by emotional tension, sometimes drama, sometimes "black" humor, but in grotesque surrealistic images, an element of play, purity and immediacy of children's perception prevail.
