Elena Filaretova lives and works in St. Petersburg. She received an academic art education at the Ioganson Lyceum at the Russian Academy of Arts. In her works, the artist studies the capabilities of the brain and the individual reflection of the viewer, explores the topic of Visual Pareidolia1 - a process in which a person sees familiar images and faces in random or unstructured visual stimuli. It transforms acquired knowledge about perception into artistic experience and gives the viewer the opportunity to individually interpret the images encountered. Constantly takes part in group exhibitions in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
