Kipyatkov's work is characterized by immersion in the topic, so he creates series of works: sea, aviation, railway, building etc. The author's focus is on human person, his activities and existence. Today, his most famous theme is sports, he has been working on it since 2011.
It was embodied in a large-scale series of paintings "Colors of Sports", which was presented at numerous exhibitions in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Hong Kong and in Basel, Switzerland.
This includes the painting "Marathon. White Nights". It is made in a traditional painting technique, but in a special material. Kipyatkov is the first artist in Russia who regularly works with reflective materials in art: he uses reflective fabric as a base for painting, and reflective balls and powder as components of covering agents. In this way, he creates a special optical effect in his works, which look different in different lighting, when the viewer moves, and are especially impressive when photographing the work with a flash.
