Parazits
Vladimir Kozin is a member of the creative association of the New Dumb Partnership, the creator of the mobile Mousetrap Museum of Modern Art and the PARAZIT gallery. The artist graduated from the LVHPU named after V.I. Mukhina in the department of architectural and decorative plastics.
Kozin is known for practically patenting the use of materials such as car rubber and plywood in modern Russian art. Poor household materials, seemingly unsuitable for creating traditionally understood high art, are the basis of his sculptural compositions, objects and installations. The artist translates everyday objects from the realm of low to the realm of high, creating monuments to a kettle, a skate, and a razor out of rubber... This tradition originates in the ready-made works of Marcel Duchamp, and Kozin repeatedly refers to this artist.
The artist's works are in the public collections of museums and galleries in Russia, Germany and the USA. Participated in exhibitions of the international biennale Manifesta-10, the Russian Museum and other Russian and international exhibitions.
