The world of Kirill Burygin’s characters is chaotic and absurd — full of provocations and oddities, yet always with room for kindness. Familiar rules don’t apply here, and each day is a vivid kaleidoscope of ridiculous, humorous, and sometimes mystical events.
Burygin draws inspiration from 1960s–70s music, acid westerns, tattoo culture, primitivist art, and the traditions of various cultures. Combined with his rich personal life experience, these influences shape his distinctive style and generate bold, paradoxical narratives.
His work goes beyond the canvas — Burygin brings his imagery into utilitarian objects, integrating art into everyday life and inviting direct interaction from the viewer.
His goal is to bring laughter, irony, rebellion, and a touch of absurd mysticism into our daily lives. For Burygin, chaos is not merely the absence of order — it’s a space for freedom, bold ideas, and joy.
I find inspiration in music from the 60s and 70s, acid westerns, tattoos, primitivist art and traditions of different countries. All this, combined with my own rich life experience, defines my style and gives birth to my subjects.
I transfer them not only onto canvases, but also onto utilitarian objects - making them part of everyday life and inviting the viewer to interact with them directly.
My goal is to add laughter, protest, irony and ridiculous mysticism to our lives.
Chaos is not only the absence of order, but also a space for bold ideas, joy and freedom.
