The "Altyn" series, 2
"Altyn" means "gold" in Shor. The series consists of images of crumpled silver and gold sheets. The metal sheets, which resemble precious metals in their reflections, are crumpled like paper trash. They are suspended in a certain conventional space and seem to have no weight.
In the "Altyn" series, the shell theme is important. Only this time the shell is subject to severe deformations, as if it is shifting from one state of aggregation to another.
Member of the Union of Artists of Russia and participant of exhibitions since 2009, the artist is a winner of national and international competitions.
He creates works in the genres of easel graphics and photography, as well as installations. In his work, the artist explores the identity of the Shoria mountain region, to which he belongs, and documents its elusive culture using the methods of autoethnography and field practice.
