Series "Megaliths". No. 3
The lithographic "Megaliths" reflect the artist's enduring interest in the early stages of cultural development. But Rinat Minnebaev initially conceived this series after the events of September 11, 2001. The central theme of these works is balance, a frozen moment of fragile and precarious sensation.
An artist endowed with a unique sense of history, he easily navigates the tree of time from the earliest historical layers to the present day and beyond. A single thread of meaning unites all periods of his work. A master of painting and graphic art, he is best known for his three-dimensional works using the hand-molded paper technique. His work directly reflects his passion for archeology. He depicts cities of the future as the remains of lost civilizations, addressing the contemporary themes of technological catastrophes.
