Valery Chtak (August 25, 1981, Moscow – May 23, 2024, Moscow). Russian conceptual artist.
Valery Chtak worked with images of personal freedom, filtering them through the prism of conceptualism. His images are deliberately casual, monochrome, and allude to the work of Beuys and Basquiat. He used phrases in Serbian, Hebrew, and other languages. He was interested in creating a system of signs at the intersection of modernity and art.
