About the artist
Creativity and exhibitions

Romanoz was born in 1976 in Batumi.

Romanoz is the first artist who referred to transcendental philosophy and who depicted it in his works. He might be considered as a founder of transcendtalism, a new movement in visual art.

In 1997-98, the artist became interested in Vedic philosophy, which in symbiosis with art gives rise to the formation of transcendental painting. For 10 years, he has been creating graphic works. An important aspect of the development of transcendental art is the pictorial manner.

The artist himself believes that everyone has the ability to travel into the depth of your mind, and that it is easier and more interesting to go on that trip with the help of transcendental art.

The subjects of Romanoz's works are not always people. One or another character may indicate a real human, but a character can also symbolize a period of time, and also the artist's approach to any situation that his brain perceives as a living being - i.e. a character in transcendental way of thinking can be anything. This peculiarity of transcendental art has a reverse effect: the subjects represented in the paintings do not necessarily indicate characters, objects or shapes, but they may carry the information about a period of time, a condition, a person.

In 2020, Romanoz established his own gallery in Tbilisi. And after a solo exhibition of his artwork in space, in the stratosphere, he opened a solo gallery space there in 2021, 45,000 metres above the Earth.
