About the artist

Ronit Baranga (born 1973, Israel) is a contemporary artist, sculptor and psychologist.

In the process of searching and forming her own style, Ronit Baranga realized how important the bodily component is to her in creativity and in its final result. In her opinion, an artist should not only have a hand in his creation, but also leave a part of his spirit and body in it. Bringing this idea to the surreal absolute, Baranga literally leaves a piece of the body in each of his works, but, of course, in the form of ceramic, clay or porcelain fingers, mouths and eyes.

All works are made in a naturalistic manner characteristic of Baranga: there is not a single drop of sentimentality in them - they are complex, ambiguous, insanely realistic, sensual, they contain emotions and mood. And this is not surprising. After all, sculpture for the artist is not just a way of self-expression, it is also “an attempt to grasp the elusive moment of life”. Ronit creates both in moments of joy and elation, and in moments of sadness and sadness, every moment of a woman's life, any of her emotional states can serve as a pretext for creating a new masterpiece.

Ronit Baranga is a participant in many international exhibitions. And if in the art environment her works receive a positive assessment and enthusiastic responses, then among the broad masses they are perceived ambiguously. Her creations, of course, attract attention, intrigue, make one think, but at the same time, they shock and even frighten many.
