Timofey Parchikov, Photographer (b. 1983, Moscow). Lives and works in Paris and Moscow. Graduated from the Cinematography Department of the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (Moscow, 2006) and the Direction Department of the Advanced Course for Screenwriters and Film Directors (Moscow, 2007). Parchikov’s project “Suspense” was shown as part of a solo exhibition by such cultural institutions as the Oscar Niemeyer International Cultural Centre (Avilés, 2015), Maison Européenne de la Photographie (Paris, 2014), Museo di Roma in Trastevere (Rome, 2011). Parchikov participated in the 54th Venice Biennale in 2011 and was awarded the Kandinsky Prize in the “Best Young Artist” category in 2014. In his oeuvre Parschikov fuses cinematography techniques with documentary making and explores hidden human instincts.
