Liza Bobkova (b. Ostrov, 1987) explores the problems of human socialization in the modern world, works with sculptures, total installations, drawing and graphics. In 2011 she graduated from the Department of Artistic Metalwork at the Saint Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design. 2012 participated in the Moscow International Biennale for Young Art, strategic project, curated by Elena Selina, MMOMA, Moscow. In 2016 she received a prize from the French Institute - three months residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris. In 2017 she received a grant from the Center for Contemporary Art Winzavod for the residence of the ART HUB, Abu Dhabi, UAE. In 2019, the solo exhibition "Buffer Zone" was held at the MYTH gallery, which was noted by the New York edition of Artforum.
