About the Artist

The term liminal spaces in photography and internet culture is relatively recent, since the late 2010s. Liminality in Latin means a certain transitional, threshold state. A distinctive feature of liminal spaces in photography is the reflection of something very familiar and close, but at the same time alienated and, at times, even frightening. Looking at such images, there is a feeling of anxiety that makes people think that something more is displayed in the photograph than just the depicted space.
The series is a rethinking and display of liminal spaces in a natural context, which forms the metaphysical meanings of what is seen.
