Born into a family of artists, Alexander was practically surrounded by art since the day he was born. He spent his childhood in the studio of his mother, Valeria Dobrohotova, where he drew a lot and where his passion for sculpture was born. He studied at the Russian Academy of Fine Arts named after Surikov, in the sculpture department. During his studies, he had time to really fall in love with plaster casting.
Over the next ten years, he worked independently until he entered the Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow, where he came fascinated by ready-made and stoped working on sculptures. Thus, contemporary art became his habitat. Over time, Alexander returned to sculpture and now consistently, step by step, declares himself as one of the most powerful artists of his generation. He lives and works in Moscow.
