Oleg Echo
Born in 1985 in Volgograd. Since 2012, he has been living and working in Moscow.
In 2018, he created the ECHO clothing brand: he developed the design of things, prints and embroidery, mastered the techniques of coloring and applying prints.
In the same year, he began to create a site-specific artwork - stickers with conceptual inscriptions in different urban locations. During the game, stickers appeared in 39 cities in 12 countries as a form of interaction with account subscribers.
In August 2021, he took part in the All-Russian competition "Art to the North". Two works, "Stuffy" and "Distortion of the Truth of Light", were among the winners and will be exhibited at a group exhibition at the Omelchenko gallery in Moscow, after which they will replenish the collection of the art institute of the CSI "Radiance" in the city of Apatity.
"I like to work with text and context, interact with the viewer through the ambiguity of interpretations and meanings that arise in him. To try to pull a person out of the automatism of the perception of everyday life, to bring them to a dialogue. Dialogue with the city, the world and with yourself."
