More
The work of Pavel Pepperstein is a link between the older generation of Moscow conceptualists and young budding artists. In Pepperstein's works, the viewer's gaze opens up mysterious hybrid worlds that combine the motifs of Russian and ancient mythology, avant-garde forms in the style of El Lissitzky and Kazimir Malevich, and the entourage of Hollywood science fiction. The author often accompanies this collage of cultures with his own handwritten commentary, adding a playful element to the work.
