Anatoly Akue is a representative of Moscow street art. He was born in 1986 in Moscow; began drawing graffiti as a teenager in 1997.
“Today, Anatoly Akue continues to develop his individual language and artistic thinking in the direction of contemporary art. As the artist himself notes, today the surface - a wall or a canvas - is no longer of primary importance to him, acting simply as a carrier of the image. Since drawing on the street, Akue has studied many techniques and approaches, including painting, which he successfully combines with spray, focusing on geometric and non-objective abstraction and philosophical themes. Anatoly Akue developed his individual artistic style during numerous travels across Europe and Asia, focusing on the development of his inner qualities through meditation and art. His works reflect attempts to find a new language with which to express the ideas of Buddhism and life experience through art.” (Encyclopedia of Russian street art. Moscow: 2019)
