SUBSTATION Editions (formerly ARTMOSSPHERE, STREET KIT) has come a long way since 2008 under the strict curatorship of founder Sabina Chagina: it changed names, organized projects by both Russian and international artists, moved from space to space, until finally, in 2024, it found its home on the 42nd floor of Moscow a skyscraper. The start of the exhibition season in the new gallery space took place in November 2024.
The gallery pays great attention to editions, organizing on its platform, among other things, a publishing that periodically releases new releases together with contemporary artists - silkscreen prints and linocuts, carpets and other art objects published in limited editions. Among other mediums, we present edition video art and other types of media art, as well.
Our gallery features print runs of both famous authors and young artists who create our "today".
The gallery aims not only to sell artworks, but also sets itself the mission of forming an institution of collecting. That is why the main emphasis in the concept of the gallery is on the democracy and accessibility of art.
The gallery is part of a creative ecosystem of the same name, that also includes an Artists Support Platform and an Agency. The ecosystem was founded by Sabina Chagina in 2023, after completing her work at CCA Winzavod as an art director.
The ecosystem's activities are aimed at creating new multigenre and experimental formats that combine communications between various participants in the field of modern culture and business.
