Christophe Delcourt appeared on the world design scene and immediately found himself on the very top: in 1999, participating in an influential exhibition Maison et Objet in Paris for the first time, he immediately acquired the title “The designer of the year” for his furniture, lightings and interior elements collection, all of which were performed from natural materials (wood, metal, ceramics, leather) and according to traditional craftsmanship.
Delcort puts quality in the first place but this is not the only important aspect both for the brand and for its creator.
“Any piece of furniture- in particular a seat – must confer elegance to its user, make him look beautiful under all circumstances”, considers Christophe Delcourt. This approach, in the designer’s opinion, demonstrates “French elegance” as a style and the way of life.
