In the paintings by Veronika Kozachenok, many of which have the word "intuition" in their titles, the artist makes interesting experiments with space and composition. Violating the linear principles of image construction, it goes by modeling an isometric environment. Inspired by research in the field of parametric architecture and translating it into the field of fine art, the artist creates multidimensional geometric systems and changes them by controlling different parameters.
The transformation of space creates an unexpected surreal effect. The constant presence in the composition of a human figure - a character who finds himself in an "inhuman" abstract environment, leads the viewer into confusion. Here a layer of psychology opens up. Veronika Kozachenok seeks to achieve balance with her work. Through pause, slowdown and contemplation, she leads the viewer to overcome possible anxiety states, anxiety from the unknown and uncertainty of the present moment. In an intuitive pictorial process, she does not oppose storm and calm, light and shadow, but unites them into one, indicating the possibility of a new vision of situations, circumstances and people.
When you point your phone at the pictures using an inverse mask, they become “positive”, but in reality they are “negative”. The artist invites the viewer to look at art (at the world and at life) from a completely new perspective.
Veronika Kozachenok (b. 1988) studied at the Moscow College of Architecture, graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute (MARCHI) with the qualification of an Architect, and also from the Moscow Institute of Modern Gestalt Therapy. In her work, the artist actively applies the knowledge and experience gained in both areas, and creates emotionally and compositionally complex paintings that touch on existential issues and open spaces for self-knowledge.
