Voyageur
Stas Falkov (b. 1987, Tyumen) is an artist, designer and photographer working at the intersection of visual art, fashion and cultural memory research. Starting his career with shoots for international fashion brands, he developed a recognizable style, which he later transferred into conceptual art projects. He is the founder of the art community “Kruzhok” (Moscow). Since 2020, amidst the pandemic, his work has taken on a more personal and philosophical character - his turn to painting and text resulted in the series “Un voyage sans fin”, where the process of creating a work took on a meaning equal to the result. This approach, developed during his Master's studies at the École Supérieure d'Art et Design Le Havre-Rouen (France), where the artist graduated with honors, formed the basis of his current practice, balancing intuitive creativity and theoretical reflection.
Stas Falkov's art is a constant search for a form to express the fragility of identity, memory and the experience of displacement, where art becomes a way to capture internal states and external transformations. Through improvisation, multi-layered imagery and exploring the boundaries of visual language, he creates works in which the personal is intertwined with the universal and reality with the imaginary.
