For Gleb Teleshov, the art is a way of life and a means of exploring the surrounding world through photography, video art, and cinema—as a more complex system of visionary expression. Through photography, Teleshov captures matter at a specific moment in time: he pays attention to detail, observes it carefully, and focuses his gaze upon it. This meditative process enables the artist, by recording the external world, to delve into his own subconscious.
In his artistic practice, Gleb concentrates on the relationship between space and time. He views matter as a constantly changing substance that gives rise to a kind of mythic image, which we perceive as time. The artist’s inclination towards idealisation is reflected in the aestheticisation of form, allowing for an observation of both the transformation and the essence of objects. These practices broaden the artist’s perception of the world and offer a perspective on matter from an unconventional angle.
