Vova Perkin (born in 1995) was born in Maykop, now lives and works in Moscow and Naro-Fominsk. He began his creative path with graffiti in 2008. He is the founder of the Perkinism movement (2017), the group of artists "Our Utopia" (2015), and the All-Russian Perkinnale of Contemporary Art (2019). He was included in the rating of the most promising Russians under 30, "30 under 30" in the "Art" nomination of Forbes Russia magazine in 2021. In 2023, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art presented Vova Perkin's solo exhibition "Percussion". A large-scale retrospective, collected from more than 160 works created in the period from 2016 to 2023. His work is positive, filled with bright and contrasting colors, grotesque, and all the plots and heroes of the paintings are interconnected, the total number of characters populating the artist's world has exceeded 3000. Mukha Tsokotukha herself gave her heart and became a fan of Vova Perkin forever, and collective art is one of the favorite tools of creative work of "Perkinism". The idea of collective creativity is to populate the world map "Our Utopia" with characters and locations taken from real life and invented by the artists themselves. Vova also oversees annual exhibitions of his team and invited artists. Works in various techniques: painting, graphics, sculpture, photography, performance. Participant of major festivals, awards and exhibitions: International Sergey Kuryokhin Festival (2016), Arkhstoyanie Detskoe Festival (2020), Zverev Art Prize (2021), 3rd Moscow Art Prize (2022), Cosmoscow International Fair, etc.
As a guest artist, he collaborated with major brands (Cartier, Ray Ban, NYX Professional Makeup, T-Bank, KHL, Yandex Market, Azbuka Vkusa).
His works are in the collections of: MIRA, AZ Museum, Moscow Museum of Modern Art MMOMA, RuArts Foundation, ART4 Museum, Sergey Kuryokhin Center for Contemporary Art, Moscow Museum, SDV Arts & Science Foundation, Dymov Ceramics, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
