EROSE_06 Sculptural object
The EROSE project is fully dedicated to a manifesto of imperfection. Through these works, Faye challenges conventional canons of beauty, symmetry, and traditional functionality in design. The main goal of the series is to showcase the raw, natural aesthetic of nature.
The defining features of the objects in this series include distorted, deformed silhouettes, uneven, jagged, and asymmetrical contours, and rough, deeply textured surfaces.
The EROSE_06 sculpture embodies the artist's signature style — working with altered form and the unpredictable nature of clay. It utilizes a complex triple-firing technique with the gradual application of various glazes to create a multi-layered texture.
