Anna Yardy was born in St. Petersburg, where she currently lives and works. In her practice, Anna works at the intersection of figurative painting and graphic art.
In her artistic explorations, Anna utilizes digital glitch effects, color inversion (negative), and sharp contrasts to create a sense of a 'shifted' reality. Her visual language addresses the fragility of mental constructs, the simulative nature of the surrounding world, and reflections on the nature of beauty, ephemerality, and human identity.
