Handle with Care!
Like many of Yulia Agenosova’s recent projects, this series reflects on a state of “life hanging by a thread” — its vulnerability, transience, and at the same time its profound value. The artist is interested not so much in fragility itself, but in the moment of becoming aware of it: that inner shift when the familiar stability of the world suddenly reveals itself as an illusion.
Working with a wide range of materials and techniques, Agenosova creates spaces of unstable perception, where reality loses the qualities of something fixed, unambiguous, and permanent. Her artistic language is built upon subtle displacements, omissions, and the interplay of disappearance and presence. Central to these works is the ability to perceive meaning in absence, to hold attention on the barely perceptible, and to discover beauty within the unstable and the temporary.
The series exists as an attempt to achieve a delicate balance between anxiety and acceptance. Here, the awareness of inevitable change does not lead to dramatization; on the contrary, it becomes a form of inner reassurance. The works function almost therapeutically — as a quiet reminder that the world’s instability is not only frightening, but also what makes each moment truly valuable.
In her artistic practice, Yulia Agenosova deals with issues of the intersection of the inner and outer worlds of man. The artist’s meditative symbolic language, on the verge of abstract and objective, in each created series touches on deeply personal, intimate, almost intimate spheres and illuminates aspects of human life in different ways.
