The image of the snake is ambiguous. On the one hand, it is associated with danger, cunning, and temptation (recall the well-known biblical story). On the other hand, the snake is a symbol of wisdom, knowledge, and even healing (recall the staff of Asclepius, a symbol of medicine). The snake also underlies one of humanity's most ancient symbols—the Ouroboros, which bites its own tail. Endless movement, the cycle of life and death, eternal return, the rebirth of chaos into the cosmos and back again, the unity of all things, the absence of beginning and end—the depth of the Ouroboros in the history of culture and philosophy is inexhaustible.
Russian contemporary artist. Alina Glazun was born in 1988 in Kirovograd in the family of a pilot and a housewife. In 1992 she moved with her family to Moscow.
