About the Artist

Serafima Sazhina: "Clouds" is a new series of creatures created as part of a project dedicated to landscape. When we look at clouds, we rarely consider their nature. Their beauty sometimes conceals events that change the course of history. In his book, "In Storms of Steel," Ernst Jünger describes his observations of nature, and in particular clouds, during the First World War. He notes how smoke clouds and natural clouds intertwine, and how nature continues its cyclical rhythm despite human tragedies. Clouds are images of different clouds that, when mixed, carry both human traits and the power of nature."

Sazhina Serafima was born in the city of Pavlovsky Posad in 1993. In 2010-2012 she studied at College of Design and Decorative Arts MGHPA named after. Stroganov at the Faculty of Arts metal processing, in 2013 she stopped studying and began working as an apprentice, in parallel visiting art studios of painting and drawing in Moscow and the Moscow region. In 2016 she moved to St. Petersburg and continued her studies at the private studio Practicum. Became a resident in 2022
