A pair of side tables "Alchemy"
The presented pair of side tables is created at the junction of furniture design and conceptual sculpture. Monolithic blocks with beveled edges are made of brass with the use of complex author's patination. The metal surface was chemically etched, due to which each object received its own unique pattern of oxidation and color transition. There are no logos or surnames on the objects. The only trace left by the authors is the hand—stamped limited edition number. This is an honest challenge to the market: a thing should speak for itself with its quality, weight and impeccable shape. The name will appear later, when the objects have already taken their place in the best private collections.
For the time being, a team of young and ambitious Italian authors deliberately abandons branding at the start of their journey. In an era when the art market buys hyped names rather than quality, this team chooses Banksy's strategy: they remain completely anonymous until their products themselves gain popularity.
