Peonies with Matte Eucalyptus
“I Will Keep the Bouquets of My Beloved” Series
The works are created using blind embossing with a rigid printing plate. The relief of gifted flower bouquets is pressed between the cylinder and the press bed without ink. This technique allows for a single original impression of dried flowers on special Fabriano Rosaspina etching paper, 285 g/m². During the printing process, the damp paper comes into contact with the dried flowers for only a moment under the pressure of the cylinder. The flowers lose their form and the bouquet falls apart, leaving behind an imprint of transience.
In his work, the artist approaches shyness not as a character trait but as a mechanism of visibility: a delay between intention and action, a moment of an "almost-event" in which reality is already emerging, yet still slipping away. Within this pause, identity takes shape, and the act of looking becomes a process of producing meaning between attention and distraction, trust and doubt, the private and the shared.
His current practice is centered on being absorbed by the screen as a mode of presence: on how the surface of the broadcast holds the gaze, how the format shapes perception, and how value can be extracted from digital flicker. Not in the form of a "correct" meaning, but as an opportunity to perceive reality anew beyond the screen. The artist does not promise clarity; instead, he tunes the signal so that viewers can become aware of their own way of looking.
