'Roundabout' reflects on the life journey as a continuous return to what has already been lived through, each time from a new perspective. Her works bring together landscapes and fragments from different periods, where memory exists not as a linear sequence but as a single space in which time folds back on itself.
At the heart of the objects are real car windows, bearing factory markings, scuffs, and traces of their previous lives. They do not illustrate the journey but carry its traces within themselves.
Artist. Born in Moscow. A graduate of the Moscow School of Contemporary Art.
In her artistic practice, she draws on everyday surroundings, exploring parallels between external factors and the inner changes they trigger. By documenting different places and elements of the city, Irina creates her own system of coordinates that helps her understand her identity. She works at the intersection of traditional painting and new approaches, combining different media, including photo printing, objects, and installations, to articulate her ideas more precisely.
Her works have been presented at U Contemporary, Winzavod, ZOTOV Center, BIZON Gallery in Kazan, Cube.Moscow, Nikolskie Ryady in St. Petersburg, the New Tretyakov Gallery, and the Central House of Artists. She has also participated in the WIN-WIN and Blazar art fairs, the Archstoyanie festival, and the “Svody” Center for Artistic Production at GES-2 House of Culture. She was also a participant in the 13th season of Winzavod Open Studios.
