Where Light Dwells
Junseok Mo (b. 1984, Ulsan) is a Korean artist who lives and works in Paris. Booroom Gallery has been presenting Mo’s works since 2024. His practice is built on the intersection of sculpture and architectural thinking. Junseok Mo received his education at Kunmin University in Seoul, and also completed a master’s program (2019) and obtained a PhD (2024) from the Sorbonne University.
Among the artist's most significant exhibition projects are the Esthetics of Coherence project at the Asia Now Fair in Paris in 2025; Transcendance spatiale at Le K.A.B. space and participation in MAC Paris at Bastille Design Center in 2024; participation in KIAF, the To The Future project at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and in The Issy Biennale in 2023; exhibitions at the Korean Cultural Center in Paris, the Ataturk Cultural Center in Istanbul, a project at the SPACE776 gallery in New York and participation in Art Fair Tokyo; as well as the How to Create a Landscape exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art of Korea (MMCA, Chongju) and participation in ART BUSAN. His works are included in the collections of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Art Bank, Korea), the Pohang Art Museum (Korea), and the Fumio Asakura Museum (Japan).
